The past few years, I’ve worked on slowly growing my handbag collection by buying pre-loved designer handbags like Chloe, Louis Vuitton, and Saint Laurent. This also means I’ve been staying away from brands like Coach and buying new in general.
Then, I saw an ad. Yes, the marketing ads got to me. I saw a houndstooth wallet from Coach Outlet, and I thought to myself, do I need a new wallet?? And I realized I’ve been sleeping on Coach for a while now. Their purses and wallets have gotten so cute, stylish, and timeless. I already know the quality is great, as I have older Coach bags that still look amazing and get compliments all the time when I wear them!
Houndstooth Mini Wallet on Chain
But, back to my wallet. I see a black and cream houndstooth mini wallet on chain. It’s basically a mini purse, but has a detachable metal strap, so you can use it as a wallet as well. So cute! I can see myself throwing it in my purse as a wallet, but also throwing it on as a mini crossbody purse to a hockey game or concert when I just need a few cards, lipstick, and license! I even ordered my sister the pink & red for Christmas – I hope she doesn’t read this…
Zip Card Case
I also grabbed the zip card case in black/cream houndstooth but decided to return it. While I think it’s a great wallet and super well organized for cards and money – even fitting a small car key or lipstick – I decided I didn’t need the wallet on chain and the zip card case as they were somewhat similar.
The Field Tote 22 (Upwoven Leather)
And then, I saw the cutest bag. I knew I had to have it. The Field Tote 22 in Upwoven Leather in a beautiful brick red leather with brass hardware and a Fall palette of upwoven leather. The strap is thick, comfy, and casual which is a fun contrast to the upwoven leather!
What’s upwoven leather? I was curious too. Here’s what Coach has to say about it: “lovingly-made material constructed of salvaged leather scraps from our factories. It’s all part of our commitment to rethinking and reducing our impact on the planet by repurposing waste materials.” So basically, you’re being a good person and helping the planet by buying this purse!!
On top of that, this purse is part of the Coach Reserve collection, so it was originally sold in regular Coach stores rather than the Coach Outlet stores, and it’s available in limited quantities. It’s also on a steep discount from the normal Coach price since it’s on the outlet site!
The colors are perfect for Fall, and I can’t wait to start wearing it! The Upwoven leather is truly beautiful. I like it way more than the other Field totes in plain leather. It’s also understated in terms of branding – quiet luxury anyone? This is your Fall bag!
Farewell Thoughts
